Familiar images are gentle magnets for the eyes and the mind, but only have lasting affect if the artist can also incite curiosity and awe. Drawing the viewer into the commonplace with humor I build a narrative that travels to the unexpected.
Combining printmaking and fiber, my art practice is a visceral response to what hurts, vexes and inspires. My most primal and obsessive expression, my drawings, are an intuitive reflection of my inner world. The repetitive marks appear again and again in my work acting as structure, texture and binder.
